As we approach the end of the year, we thought it would be fun to report on the 2025 Concord Window Film Bestsellers.
If you are wondering what shade of ComforTech™ Ceramic Series Window Film people choose the most, or how folks are purchasing film (rolls, pre-cut kits or custom kits), we’ve got your answers! We crunched the data and are pleased to bring you the 2025 Concord Window Film Bestsellers!
We sell a range of films at Concord Window Film to meet a variety of customer needs: ComforTech™ Ceramic Series, Matte White Privacy, Silver 15 Reflective, Clear UV, and 4MIL Safety film.
In terms of 2025 Concord Window Film Bestsellers, by category, our ComforTech™ Ceramic Series film is far and away the winner making up 87% of sales which is about the same as last year. There is no surprise that ComforTech™ is our flagship product, as ceramic window film is the professional choice for residential and commercial tinting jobs.
One of the things we get asked to help with the most is to advise folks on which shade is right for them. Choosing a shade is very personal and depends on what issue you are trying to solve combined with your personal preference for how dark you are willing to go with the film.
Remember, in general, the darker you are willing to go with the shade of the film – the better the performance will be across all benefit areas (with the exception of UV which is independent of shade). See the performance specifications for our ComforTech™ Ceramic Series film below:
As you can see from the chart above, the Visible Light Transmission decreases as the film gets darker and the Total Solar Energy Rejected increases. UV remains the same at 99% rejection.

With that being said, here are the bestselling shades of film for 2025:
This year, ComforTech™ 35 took first place again but with a higher share of 32% up from 29% in 2024, making up 1/3 of our ComforTech™ orders. But ComforTech™ 25 actually increased a bit in 2025 holding on to it’s second place with one quarter of orders. ComforTech™ 45 was another film that grew in popularity in 2025 increasing 2% to make up 16% of orders this year, while ComforTech™ 15 dropped one percent to tie 45 and also contribute 16% to total orders. ComforTech™ 05 dropped the most in relative popularity to 11% of orders in 2025 down from 16% in 2024.
It is no surprise that our three mid-shades are the most popular – but 45 is growing in popularity with folks that want to minimize the change in how their glass looks or have HOAs dictating what can be installed on windows.

You may recall that we sell our ComforTech™ Ceramic Series window film in three ways (read more about the three ways we sell film).
Pre-cut kits are a great way to purchase window film because they are precut roughly to the size of most standard windows and doors. It makes installation easier by reducing the measuring and cutting you need to do.
We have 4 kits available for double-hung and casement windows and storm and patio doors. Plus our pre-cut kits are stocked in every ComforTech™ shade for quick delivery. Read more about our available pre-cut window film kits.
Sometimes a customer’s windows don’t fall into standard sizes, but they still want the film cut to size. That is where our Custom Cut Kit option comes into play. Customers can enter their window or door dimensions and get pieces of film cut just for their project. Read more about how to order custom cut kits.
Finally, for larger jobs, some customers opt for rolls of film. If you can make use of an entire roll of film for your project, this can be the most economical way to purchase window film from us. The 2025 winner is again precut kits making up 42% of orders. But this number is actually down from 48% in 2024. And which type took share of pre-cut kits? Custom Kits! Since we introduced custom kits towards the end of 2023, they have been growing in popularity and 2025 saw them rise to 25% of orders. It’s no doubt that customers prefer to purchase window film already cut down to (or close to) their glass size with pre-cut kits and custom kits making up more than 2/3 of all orders.
Coming in second place again in 2025 are rolls holding steady at 32% of orders. Rolls are the most cost-effective way to purchase film, so if you are doing your entire home, your windows are all about the same size – and you don’t mind doing some cutting, rolls are an excellent way to go and save some money.
Finally, let’s a take a look at our most popular film type: precut kits and break that down to see what people are buying in 2025!
From a order count perspective, double-hung window film kits lead the pack for pre-cut kits. This is no surprise as double-hung windows are the most popular type of window in the U.S.. Coming in a close second and third are our very popular patio door kits and storm door kits. Casement windows round out the list.
