Does nit provide the level of privacy that I expected
All transparent privacy window film, like our ComforTech 15, works when it’s brighter outside than inside. Our privacy window film page (https://windowfilm.com/privacy-window-film/) explains this and lists the privacy films we offer. In discrete situations there are some things you can do to improve privacy as it gets dark at night. Please feel free to reach out if you’d like help getting the most out of it.
I ordered the ComforTech 15 Ceramic Window Film and what a difference it has made. My house has a lot of windows on the main floor, 3 combination bay windows, 3 large picture windows plus a lot of huge sliding widows. Before in installed the ComforTech 15 window film the AC would run constantly when the temperature reached 90 degrees outside with the thermostat set at 73 degrees inside. Now when the temperature reaches into the 90’s outside I can set my thermostat at 68 degrees inside and it will shut off throughout the day while maintaining the 68 degrees inside. I live in Colorado above 7000ft sea level where the sun’s rays are extreme. I was warned that ComforTech would not warranty the window above 3000ft sea level from the window cracking but was told 2/3’s of the people kept them anyway. I told her I was going to take my chances because I really didn’t have any other choice other than replacing all the windows anyway. Now after having them on for more than a month and the past week of every day being above 90 degrees in complete sun shine all day I have not had any issue with my windows cracking. Plus the comfort from UV rays not coming through the windows is a major plus. ComforTech window film is very easy to install but I would suggest using an old credit card instead of the squeegee when trimming the film against the window frame. If you are consider doing window film, DO NOT go with some cheap window film, you get what you pay for. ComforTech Ceramic window film is designed for double pane windows. If I was a rich man I would personally put a money back guarantee on the ComforTech window film….it is that great of a product.
