Privacy Window Film for Your Home

Looking for an easy way to protect your privacy without sacrificing light or style?

Privacy Window Film is the perfect solution. Whether you want daytime privacy that still lets in natural light or complete coverage for bedrooms and bathrooms, our professional-grade films give you options that fit your needs.

At Concord Window Film, we offer two main types of privacy window film – transparent privacy window film and opaque privacy window film:

Transparent Privacy Film

Reflective Window Film For Homes Feature

If you want to keep your views but stop prying eyes, transparent privacy film is your answer.

  • Works like a one-way mirror during the day, letting you see out while blocking others from seeing in.
  • Reduces glare and UV exposure while maintaining a clean, clear look.
  • Perfect for living rooms, kitchens, and street-facing windows or doors where views and natural light matters.

Opaque Privacy Film

Matte White Opaque Privacy Window Film For Home

For areas where you need complete privacy – both day and night – choose opaque window film.

  • Provides privacy both day and night with no visibility in or out.
  • Creates a frosted-glass look that is bright and stylish – at a fraction of the cost of new glass.
  • Ideal for bathrooms, bedrooms, home offices, or glass front entry doors.

Transparent Privacy Film

We have two transparent privacy films available at Concord Window Film: our Silver 15 Reflective film and three of our ComforTech Ceramic Series shades.

The three shades of ComforTech that are reflective enough to provide daytime privacy are (from darkest to lightest): ComforTech 05, ComforTech 15, and ComforTech 25. What’s nice about our ComforTech film is the neutral charcoal look of the film. All ComforTech shades are also dual-reflective – which means that the exterior reflectivity of the film is greater than the interior reflectivity. This allows you to get the benefits of strong reflectivity outside where you need it, but prevents the mirror look inside the home. Plus ComforTech is our largest selling film so we are able to offer it in pre-cut and custom kits as well as rolls.

Silver 15 Reflective also provides great daytime privacy but with a different silver mirrored look. The Silver 15’s reflectivity is also the same on the inside and outside of the film. It is an economical product that is great for all budgets and is available in rolls only.

FAQs

Can I install window film on double pane windows?

Yes! All of Concord Window Film’s products are double pane (dual pane) glass safe up to 40 sqft in size.

Can I install your window film on the outside of my windows?

No, all of the film we sell is manufactured for interior installation.

Does your privacy film work at night?

There are two types of privacy film: transparent and opaque.

Transparent privacy film can only provide daytime privacy. Our three darkest ComforTech Ceramic Series shades provide daytime privacy: 25, 15, and 05. 25 is the lightest of the three shades and 05 is the darkest.

If you want both day and nighttime privacy you would need an opaque window film like our Matte White Privacy.

No transparent privacy film can provide 100% privacy. You would need to obscure the window completely to do that. That’s because transparent film works by creating a one-way mirror effect on the exterior side of the window when it is brighter outside than it is inside. Because this effect depends on outside light conditions in relation to inside conditions, as those exterior conditions change (i.e. during a storm with dark clouds, a very cloudy day, or as the sun sets) and in turn the interior conditions change (you turn on the lights) the amount of reflection the film creates on the exterior decreases.

Some things you can do to improve the privacy is to make the outside in front of the windows bright at night with house lights or landscaping lighting. Again, the brighter it is outside, the better the mirror effect will be.
Do I need to purchase the installation tool kit?

We recommend you purchase the installation tool kit along with your film. The tool kit contains everything professionals would use to install the window film.

Using the wrong tools – especially during the squeegeeing phase of installation or the wrong installation solution – can lead to installation problems.

For example, having bubbles appear under the film after it has dried is a sign that it has not been properly squeegeed. You need the correct tool that is hard enough to press all the water and solution out from under the film without damaging the film itself.

And using anything other than slip-tack solution or baby shampoo in the installation solution can leave behind a residue under the film that will compromise the optical clarity of the film.

It’s also important that you use a clean spray bottle when mixing the installation solution. Any residue from past chemicals or detergents that were previously in the bottle can adversely affect the film and/or it’s adhesive.

You can purchase our Installation Tool Kit here.

What comes in the sample kit?

The kit contains 5″ x 7″ samples of all five shades of our ComforTech Ceramic Series film, as well as a sample of our Matte White Privacy film and our Silver 15 Reflective film.

The kit costs $5, but there is a coupon code in the kit for $5 off your first film purchase.

You can purchase the sample kit here: https://windowfilm.com/product/sample-kit/

How do you ship the film?

We ship all of our film via UPS. Once an ordered has been packaged for shipment and the warehouse generates a UPS label for the package, you will receive an email with UPS tracking information.

Most UPS packages arrive between 2-5 days depending on where you live.

If you have any questions about your package, please contact us directly at support@windowfilm.com or 888-206-1413.

Can I return the film?

The short answer is yes, you can. We will always take back film that has been damaged in transport or has a manufacturing defect.

If you decide you don’t want the film for whatever reason we will accept returns of unopened, unused film only.

Because we want to ensure that everyone receives the best product, and due to the fragile nature of window film in general, we do not resell film that has been handled.
