Silver 15 Reflective Window Film presents an economical alternative to our ComforTech Ceramic Series for those who need solar control and don’t mind the shiny look of a metallic, mirror film.
Our Silver 15 installs like ComforTech™ with the exception that Silver 15 has a pressure-sensitive adhesive, meaning it will be sticky to the touch once the liner is removed. Extra care should be taken in handling the film to avoid it sticking to itself or other objects during installation.
Silver 15 Reflective film is sold in rolls. The film is rolled liner side out.
Silver 15 Reflective Window Film is an option for customers who need solar control and/or daytime privacy but are looking for a lower-priced alternative to ComforTech™ Ceramic Series film. This film is a metallic film and has the typical shiny silver metallic look, compared to the more neutral charcoal color of the ceramic film.
Silver 15 reflective film offers good solar control with a TSER of 79% and a SHGC of .21.
With an exterior reflectance of 62%, Silver 15 Reflective Window Film is a good choice for customers looking to add daytime privacy to their homes.

You can see blinds through the film from the street and you can see in the house if you get close, especially if there are other windows in the house that are in the line of sight.

It’s important for folks to know that all transparent privacy films work by creating a one-way mirror effect when conditions are brighter outside than inside. The greater the brightness difference, the better the mirror effect and privacy will be. You are correct that if there is another light source in the home adding to the brightness during the day (like light fixtures or window that might not be filmed letting in light) the privacy effect will be diminished.
