ComforTech Ceramic Series Window Film
ComforTech Ceramic Series window film is our flagship product and comprises roughly 90% of our total customer orders.
What Makes ComforTech Ceramic Series Film Special?
ComforTech is a high quality, professional grade ceramic window film that homeowners could only access via an installer until now. ComforTech has several advantages over other films available to consumers:
- Ceramic construction: our film is the only direct to consumer ceramic window film on the marker. Ceramic film is the most popular film for homes and buildings. Ceramic is highly durable and provides superior solar control.
- Neutral charcoal color: ceramic film provides a neutral charcoal color that is aesthetically pleasing for homeowners and HOAs who do not want a metallic look on their windows.
- 2MIL / 2 PLY construction: this not only makes the film more durable and long lasting, but also makes it infinitely easier to handle during installation. Our film doesn’t crease or crinkle easily like the big box brands.
- Dry adhesive: ComforTech™ Ceramic Series has a dry adhesive that is activated with water. This means when you remove the liner, the film is not sticky, making it easier to handle and install.
- Dual Reflectivity: ComforTech Ceramic Series film is dual reflective, meaning there is lower reflectivity of the film on the interior side and higher reflectivity where you want it to the exterior. Having a lower reflectivity on the inside of the home lessens the risk of turning your windows into mirrors at night and improves the ability to see out your windows at night while still benefiting from the strong solar control that a reflective window film provides.
ComforTech Ceramic Series Performance Specifications
Our film is made by one of the top window film manufacturers globally and is sold under the Concord Window Film brand through a confidential white label agreement. Our ComforTech Ceramic Series film is NFRC rated by the manufacturer. The NFRC or National Fenestration Rating Council is the non-profit rating agency that governs the testing and measuring of window and window film efficiency.
Above is a chart of ComforTech Ceramic Series Performance Specifications. The two important measurements for solar control are TSER or Total Solar Energy Rejected and SHGC or Solar Heat Gain Coefficient. They measure the inverse of each other.
The TSER measures the amount of solar energy rejected by a “glazing system” (window + film) and is expressed as a percentage. The higher the number, the more heat is rejected.
The SHGC measures the amount of solar heat entering a glazing system (window + film). This is expressed as a number between 0 and 1. The lower the number, the less heat is let through.

ComforTech 05 Window Film Reviews

- Jeffrey T. (★★★★★): “Films are excellent. Be careful with trimming the film to the window to get as tight a fit to the window edges as possible. Perhaps a different tool to help keep the film tight to the edge while trimming with the razor blade would have helped. On smaller windows, I precut the film to the window dimensions rather than trimming them in place and the fit was excellent. Harder to do this with the larger windows.”
- KRISTIE G. (★★★★★): “Easy to install. Be sure to watch their installation video.”
- Brian (★★★★★): “I love the film It was not to bad to install. A little easier on double-hung versus casement. They stand behind their product and will support you if needed.”
- Cindy Weaver (★★★★★): “Very easy to install and love that it is keeping the sun out and providing privacy.”
- Anonymous (★★★★★): “Excellent! Huge difference in heat reduction and great clarity. Relatively easy to install too. Thanks!”
- David (★★★★★)
ComforTech 15 Window Film Reviews
ComforTech 15 is our second darkest film and also one of our three ceramic films that provides daytime privacy. If you are looking for strong heat, glare and fade control but don’t want to go with our darkest film, 15 may be right for you.

- Sheri (★★★★★): “Conquer your solar woes with Concord! We live in a harsh desert climate and were eager to enhance both solar and privacy control on two glass-paneled doors in our home. We initially considered mounting shades to the front door and sidelight, but there were a variety of issues that made that difficult (the raised frames around the door’s four glass panels, the overlap of the handle and glass, the inconvenience of manual units and/or expense of automated, and the “all or nothing” view). After deciding film would be a better choice, we searched online but encountered products that were flimsy, too mirrored or dark, or lacking in privacy. When we landed on Concord’s website, Kristen offered immediate support, providing candid answers to a range of questions about our specific applications (shade/sun ratios, use on tempered glass, night visibility, etc.). We then purchased the sample kit and moved into the prep phase, addressing the following:We were wavering between ComforTech 15 and 25 and wondered if 15 might look too dark during the day or too reversed at night. The pieces in the sample kit gave us a better feel for the product, and since privacy was a main goal, we opted for 15 despite our concerns. We’re so glad we did — in both our spaces, it provides perfect visibility both day and night.
We ordered all our pieces precut, and they arrived inside sturdy packaging. They flattened out easily when placed atop our kitchen island, and after trimming the width lightly, we were ready to roll.We watched the installation video multiple times, which was a significant help, and we fully agree with other reviewers who note that cutting and fitting the films is easily achievable for most DIY homeowners.
The Concord installation kit makes the process much easier — highly recommend it.
Our project presented three distinct challenges:
- the raised frames around our front-door panels required a bit of finesse at the corners
- the sidelight next to the front door is long and narrow, so we needed a ladder and a bit of flexibility
- the manufacturer of our back door had left some glue along the glass panel’s edges. The solution to all of that was simply to follow Concord’s instructions as precisely as possible, use the Concord installation kit, and have a second person available during the fitting and trimming. It’s not a necessity to have someone assist, but it’s easier to tackle “tricky” edges if one person operates the X-acto blade and the other trims off the dangling strips. The film went up smoothly, occasional small bubbles vanished exactly as Concord’s video stated, and the process as a whole was simple — we even took a little pride that our “first timer” attempt could look so professional.
But then came the BIG question…how would ComforTech 15 actually perform, day and night?
We’re 100% satisfied with the results. By day, the ComforTech 15 cuts glare dramatically and gives a mildly shaded appearance — light gray, not a “dark sunglasses” look — and we now have the substantial added privacy we desperately needed.
We can see out the door glass fully, but from the street and walkway and even near the door, there’s enough mirroring to keep others from peering directly in.
Our nighttime results are just as amazing. We leave our interior lights relatively dim in the evening, and before adding the film, we kept our porchlight at 50% output, since it shined so intensely through the front door.
Now, with the glare-dampening film in place, we’ve been able to change the porchlight to 80% brightness. As a result, the amount of light out on the porch is greater than the light immediately inside the door, allowing us to achieve a fantastic amount of nighttime privacy as well.
It’s far surpassed our expectations, and we greatly appreciate having clear visibility at night, to look for packages and check for wildlife on the porch before opening the door (no “reverse mirroring / can’t see out” issues in the slightest).
We’re THRILLED with the outstanding ambience, privacy, and glare control ComforTech 15 offers — it’s truly a commercial-grade DIY product that will wow you with its ease of installation and its exceptionally professional performance!
- James Rolland (★★★★★): “Kristen was an absolute pleasure to work with. The product is great!”
- Justin Joe (★★★★★): “Excellent. Does what it says and is the only product on the market that is cut to size for ease.”
- Mark H. (★★★★★): “Very happy we went with Concord! Really pleased with the dry adhesive method. I installed window film in vehicles years ago and that method was very easy to get film stuck where you didn’t want it to. Reduced heat in our Great room substantially. While I love the view and the light that is added to the room, our two gable windows were letting in too much heat. We went with Comfortech 15, and it was the right choice. Still lets in plenty of light, even on cloudy days. But, glare is reduced making the room more pleasant, as well as the reduced temperature of the room. We’ll be installing more Concord film on our south windows in the future!”(Left side has film, right side does not)
- Anonymous (★★★★★): Great company to work with. Great product and great results. Will purchase again.
- Rebecca R. (★★★★☆): “Wow! This film is amazing! Works perfectly as advertised. Only drawback was a flaw in the film from shipping, but it’s not incredibly noticeable.”
Company follow up: as soon as we heard there was a crease from a dented shipping package from Rebecca, we replaced the film.
ComforTech 25 Window Film Reviews
ComforTech Ceramic Series 25 Window Film is our mid-range shade and one of our most purchased films. It offers terrific solar control, glare reduction, fade protection and energy savings. ComforTech 25 is also our lightest shade that still provides daytime privacy.

ComforTech 35 Window Film Reviews
ComforTech 35 is our most popular shade of film. Folks like how it doesn’t change the look of the window much but still provides good solar control to reduce heat, glare and fading. ComforTech 35 has low external reflectivity and will not provide daytime privacy.

- Jared K (★★★★★): “Shipped fast. Good quality tint that went on easy. Definitely recommend!”
- David Blanchard (★★★★★): “High quality product, good instructions, excellent customer support.”
- John (★★★★★): “Thanks for the cutting and kit. It’s going on very smoothly.
- Anonymous (★★★★★)
- Doug R. (★★★★★): “from customer service to packaging and shipment the product was great.”
- Kevin M. (★★★★★): “We were originally unsure how we would like the tint but now that it’s installed we love it. It’s not difficult to install after following the instructions in the videos. Wish we would have done it sooner. We applied it to 50 year old double pane casement bay window that had no existing tint or solar blocking properties. It has really reduced glare and heating in the room. Highly recommend.”
- John S. (★★★★★): “This film is awesome! Our A/C was overwhelmed by our skylights for years but not anymore with this!”
- Dale Laib (★★★★★): “Packaging worked great. Used box to help in cutting film. Could have used another set of tabs to separate film but am using gorilla tape and it works ok. Film works as advertised. Wife is happy. Thanks.”
- Anonymous (★★★★★): “Great product and customer service! Reduced heat noticeably in my home.”
- David Puckett (★★★★★): “Looks good.”
- Joseph E. (★★★★★): “This is excellent quality film. I’ve used Gila in the past and it rips or tears easily this stuff does not and should last many years. It’s easy to install I watched their install video like three times before tackling the project.I had 17 windows and a patio door to do so I bought two install kits which was a smart move. Their cleaning razor blade does rust after a few uses but still preformed the task. I highly recommend having your own utility knife and plenty of razor blades to trim the window film changing out the blade after two to three windows.Remember don’t squeegee to the edge of the film until after you have trimmed it. Use your windows own edge to guide you in trimming the film. That’s the hardest part is trimming the film but once you got that down it’s easy to do and you get in a groove.
Use plenty of paper towels in the process too. The video doesn’t have this, but after I trimmed the film I reapplied some water tack solution on the film to squeegee the film again using paper towels to dry it. I also recommend a smaller plastic squeegee to push the film into the window edge you can find it on Amazon but I reused the one I had from the Gila kit.”
ComforTech 45 Window Film Reviews
ComforTech 45 is our lightest film and looks almost invisible on the glass – both inside the home and from the exterior. There is very little added reflectance with this film. ComforTech 45 is a great choice for those primarily concerned with blocking UV rays and achieving a moderate amount of solar control.
Average Rating: ★★★★★
- Brian M. (★★★★★): “The product is excellent. It’s a bit darker than I expected but it doesn’t diminish the view of the outside. In the photo the film is applied on the left window. Makes a huge different in deflecting solar heat. So much more comfortable in that room now!”
- Barbara C. (★★★★★): “Arrived promptly. Was as portrayed.”
- Albert R. (★★★★★): “Custom fit film was cut exactly as ordered and very well packaged. Installation video very helpful during application. Comfort tech 45 film has minimal tint and maximum UV protection.”
