Our 4 Mil clear safety film kit is your solution for enhanced safety, protection, and peace of mind. Made from high-quality, multi-layered polyester material, this window film is durable and resilient, with good optical clarity. Turns regular glass into tempered glass.
In addition, this film is suitable for renovations where existing windows need to be retrofitted with safety glass. It is ANSI-compliant and meets the International Building Code’s (and most local building codes*) requirement for safety or tempered glass in stairwells and bathrooms (including Massachusetts) for window panes less than 9 square feet in size. Each safety film kit includes ONE SHEET of 30″ X 36″ 4 Mil clear safety film to fit one sash of most standard double-hung windows (film can be oriented either way). The film has pre-applied tabs for easy liner removal, a pressure adhesive that is tacky to the touch, detailed instructions for installation, and an ANSI-compliant sticker. Stickers are rolled in the film at the end with the peel here tab so they aren’t loose in the box:

I did get some bubbles and very small debris which was almost impossible to remove

In most cases, tiny water bubbles will dry out over a few days as the film cures, but debris can sometimes get trapped if the glass isn’t completely dust-free before applying. We truly appreciate you giving our film a try and taking the time to leave feedback.

Perfect! The packaging is incredible. So much care. We ordered the clear to bring a bathroom window up to code. When we received the order, the ANSI stickers were missing. One phone call and she sent them UPS to us.
